New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Dale Caldwell Tours World Food Movement's Edison Kitchen
Delegation from the Governor's Office of Volunteerism and the NJ Faith Action Center joins visit, packing meals alongside WFM volunteers.
New Jersey Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State Dr. Dale Caldwell visited the Edison community kitchen of World Food Movement (WFM) today, touring the facility and packing meals alongside WFM staff and volunteers.
Caldwell was joined by Senior Advisor Ronald Barthelus; Dr. Semaj Vanzant Sr., Executive Director of the New Jersey Faith Action Center; and Rowena Madden, Executive Director of the Governor's Office of Volunteerism. The delegation observed WFM's meal preparation process from start to finish and took part in packing meals for distribution to communities across New Jersey.
The visit builds on WFM's ongoing work to expand access to fresh, nutritious meals in New Jersey and New York. Since 2025, the organization has served more than 50,000 meals across both states, and has set a goal of serving 1 million meals annually by 2030.
Founded in Edison, WFM provides freshly prepared meals to college students and food-insecure individuals, with programs currently active at Rutgers, NJIT, Middlesex College, Bloomfield College, and communities in Harlem and across New Jersey and New York.
